Full Description

An assemblage of post medieval pottery and ceramic building material were recovered during a field walking survey. Other finds included a fragment of clay pipe and 3 pieces of fuel ash (the fuel ash could not be dated but the report states that it is likely to be associated with the use of steam driven farm machinery). The report contains a map on which the location of each find was plotted, this shows that there is a concentration of material in the north-eastern quadrant of the field. The items were discarded after specialist study.
