Full Description

Recording, following application for demolition and replacement by a house of similar appearance, noted the threshing barn is a substantial rectangular brick building of traditional design with opposed wagon doorways, probably of late C18 date. Laid in English Garden Bond with the header course separated by 5 courses of stretchers. There is a dentil course below the eaves. In the north and south walls are 8 equi-spaced diamond-pattern ventilation apertures, 4 to either side of the door. The hipped roof structure appears to be original, comprising 4…tie-beams with kingposts horizontally strutted to the principal rafters. (1)
