Full Description

Trench 9: A deposit of developed soil within the backlot of a property fronting on to Bridgegate during the Medieval period. A compacted reddish clay pad could have provided a firm base for a structure in the backlot. A clay deposit within a narrow cut could have been a beam slot associated with this structure. (1)
