Full Description

Trench 11: Construction cut for a NE-SW orientated wall, comprising roughly worked sandstone blocks. Subject to considerable disturbance, exposed portion measured 0.4m wide by 0.3m high. Truncated by a 'robber cut'.
Nearby in Trench 10, layers of ash, coal, slag, and a deposit of degraded brick could have been dumped material or in situ remains of activity. Dated to the medieval period. (1)
