Full Description

Trench 11: A trench-built red brick wall survived to a height of 0.48m. Approximately NE-SW, roughly at right angles to Bridgegate with a right angled NW-SE return running parallel to Bridgegate. The latter segment was removed during excavation. Floor surface on the western side. Most likely related to small cottages known to have abutted the easter side of Clark's Garage. The properties were 19th century or earlier and were demolished in the late 1960s/early 1970s. (1)
