Full Description

Identified by Wildlife Conservation officer M. Walker, and verified by E. Gillott and T. Bedingfield during a site viist. A row of oaks along the edge of the wood is too straight and too regular to be natural woodland trees which would have been within the wood until the point of felling. 23 oak trees in all mark this line, and are dated by the conservation officer as dating between 1864-1931, with most of them dating 1888.

Field observation by E. Gillott, M. Walker, and T. Bedingfield (Personal comment). SNT5194.
