Full Description

Former free school for local children, with scholars paying for books etc. Taken over in 1867 to become a Government School. The building was converted into a home for Dr. Abbott in 1877 and he named it The Sycamores. It was later taken over by Dr White who converted the building into a doctor's surgery. It kept this form until a new medical practice opened at Ashfield House. Now private residence.
