Sitting on the corners of Urban Road and Erewash Street it is clear that this property was built in the corner shop style. This was originally the site of the library in the 1960s. (1)
On 1900 OS Map. Plain timber barge boards. Windows have been replaced with UPVC, signs of missing mullions. Interesting window a feature of the side facing Urban Road does not look like UPVC but with the other windows having been replaced probably not original. Roof looks original, chimneys are in original state including the ornate pots which are indicative of the area. (NCC notes 1)
