Was a mixed school, then a boys school. From 1972 became a mixed infant and junior school. Many original sash windows. (1)
Large red brick early LEA school. Plenty of original sills and sash windows. Arched brick openings which are relatively unusual in the overall design of surrounding buildings from the same time. Original roof still in place. Boundary wall looks original (coursed stone). Recorded on county review of historic school buildings Category 3a. (NCC notes 1)
