Full Description

Constructed from the demolition of the old malthouse and possibly using stone quarried from Salmon Lane quarry. Malthouse corner was the centre of the village, with the malthouse producing malt for local pubs including the Forest Tavern and General Havelock. Estimated that the wall was built during the refurbishment of Ashfield House (between 1916-1922), to enclose the Doctors garden. (1)
