Full Description

Work on this site finished on the 1940's but it is possible that it was quarried 100 years prior to this. Mr Richard Lane was the last quarryman and lime burner down Salmon Lane. Limestone quarried here was used in many local buildings including the walls and gateway to Kingsway Park. (1)
