Full Description
The Horse and Jockey public house was built in 1676 and used to be called 'The Thack', due to its thatched roof. (1) Public House. Appears on 1879 OS map. Original brick still on view throughout. Lintels are of arched brick. Windows have been replaced with timber ones which do not detract from the overall impression of the building. Roof is now slate. (NCC notes on 1)
