OS dates the building between 1879 and 1900. Although there is some evidence of a building here pre 1879. The closeness to the railway lines and the number of splits in it close by would possibly mean it was a signal house/building. Building has been rendered. Most original features have been obscured although there appears to be one original lintel still in view. Roof would appear to be original slate. (NCC notes on 1)
