Full Description

Easthorpe Old School Hall is thought to have originally been a barn. It was converted to a school in the early 19th Century, being home to Easthorpe Endowed School which started in 1827 and continued until the 1940s (Southwell Heritage Trail pamphlet).

Ordnance survey maps from 1884 and 1921 show the building annotated as a school. From the mid-C20 it has been used as a community centre (1,2).

Attached to an earlier cottage that appears on Sanderson's map 1835 (3).
