While the building would benefit from a detailed heritage assessment to identify its heritage significance more fully the building is located within the area of medieval settlement of Hucknall within proximity of the medieval church. To the west of the church there is possibility that this is where the manor house once stood therefore there could be potential for archaeological deposits at this site. (1)
