Lock keeper’s house. 1920s-30s. Painted rendered (brick?) with tiled four gable (or cross-gable) roof and central red brick chimney. Square, one and a half storey, all first-floor windows within gables. Round headed arch forming doorway with side lights. Timber casement windows. A well-preserved example of a between the wars vernacular house, probably contemporary with the construction of the lock c.1926. (1)
