Full Description

The Blackwell Colliery Company built these houses in 1896 for the mine workers to live in. The different blocks were all named after the company directors. Due to this the blocks have names such as 'Longden Terrace', 'Marshall Terrace' and 'Bainbridge Terrace'. (1)
