Full Description

Ornate brick and stone building still in use as a library. Original stone sills and decorative lintels above windows. Title stone on front of building stated Huthwaite Carnegie Free Library 1912. For further history of the library visit http://www.huthwaite-online.net/community/leisure/library/history.php Windows have been replaced with UPVC but do not detract overly from overall impression of the building. Carnegie building with minor alterations to the outside; Architect E.W Bostock; Interior still has original stone arches. (Details provided by Sutton Heritage Society)(1)
