Full Description

Now 'The Diamond' Public House, was Ben Walton's house. Datestone shows 'B.W. 1886'. (1 - Pers Comm J Peters 2007).
Largest building on the street according to 1900 OS. Now only remaining building although vastly changed. Probably constructed in brick with stone detail, brick has ben rendered and no longer on display. Large fan light, original sills and lintels are plain. Roofing material looks original. Ugly extensions detract from the building's aesthetics. Social history could be relevant. Why was it not knocked down with the rest of the terrace for example. (1)
Locally Listed by Ashfield District Council (ADC Ref: 614) (1).
