Full Description

Was the town hall, now shops. Not marked as 'Town Hall' until 1938 OS. Appears on the map to be built on and arround a number of shops. Stone door surround could therfore be original however it does look like concrete. Above the door are the words 'Town Hall' carved into stone thus would appear to be original. Most of ground floor is shops and hide most original features. First floor is original brickwork at the front and the sides. Large hall structure set back from the shops with much decorative brickwork and dentil eave. Arched brick lintel above window on hall structure. Windows appear to be UPVC throughout. Roof of hall original slate. (1)
