Full Description
Coachhouse (now converted into 2 residential properties) associated with Halam House. (2)
House and coachhouse both appear on Sanderson's Map of 1835 aligned end on to Radley Road. (1)
Roadside projection has been replaced with in modern brick and is currently (2020) a hairdressers. Coachhouse is two-storey with central arch (now infilled and housing 2 doors) with keystone, flanked with on small and one larger window arrange symetrically either side. The upper story is fenestration comprised 5 windows. All window openings have rounded brick arches and stone sills and now contained mostly Upvc replacments windows. A single-storey, lean-to, brick-built extension was added to the rear elevation. Originally a stable range, it has corbelled eaves and symetrical elevation with 3 doorways (all now with brick infill) and a window postioned between the doors (one infilled with brick). All original openings are under round brick arches and the windows have stone sills. A later windows was inserted under a straight lintel to the right of the central door. Attached barn to the south.
