Full Description

'Braided ā€˜Uā€™ shaped hollow ways in the northern part of the Reserve. Approximately 6m wide across the top and running east-west. This appears to be part of a Medieval routeway that linked Mansfield to Inkersall and Bilsthorpe. The route is evident on the 1637 map of the Rufford Estate drawn by Bunting. Spoil from the colliery has destroyed a section of this route.' (1)
