Quartzite pebble macehead. (1) (2)
A perforated stone hammer head found on the surface at Combs Wood at about above grid ref. Now in Newark Museum. (3) (4)
The museum records no other information save that the implement (a pebble macehead) was presented by W Bradley. The accession number indicates that the find was made before 1930. (5) See also L 5488, may be the same item.
