Full Description
Two-storey Public House. Appears in White Directory in 1832. Converted into flats in 2016. (1)
Brick with stone dressings. Front elevation has three moulded brick pilasters with stone Corinthian capitals, two flanking the central panel door (with overlight) and one to the north corner. The stone capitals form part of a decorative stone band which incorporates the window heads. The south corner is chamfered with a large stone corbel. First floor has three pairs of sash windows with stone headers forming another stone band. The cills make up another decorative stone band. Moulder brick pilasters with stone Corinthian capitals to the north and south corners. Over the first-floor windows the name of the pub is carved into a stone freeze over which is a shaped gable end with stone coping and four ball finials. (2)
