Full Description
Club and Boat house of the Nottingham Union Rowing Club who amalgamated with Nottingham Rowing Club in 1946.
The building has a bargeboarded large gable with wooden finial detail fronting the riverside under a slate roof. Within the gable Mock tudor studding with a substantial timber crest of the Nottingham Rowing Club. Below this are 3 Symmetrically placed openings with upvc doorsout onto a terrace, above this multi lighted header appear to contain some original detail. The building is built of red brick with segmental window heads and contrasting darker brick header courses.
There are later alterations to the frontage to the groud floor including in the terraced area.
Interior contains a wooden War Memorial plaque unveiled in 1920 to 'Former Nottingham Oarsmen' who served in WWI inlcuded the names of 25 who fell. The notable name of Albert Ball V.C is included in those who fell. (1)
