Full Description

Although the front elevation is a Late Victorian / Edwardian construction, the building has four or more building phases the earliest being EC19. In 1876, the Chequers was a fully licensed establishment under victualler J.Chapman. Formerly a Shipstone's house, it originally had several rooms, but these were knocked together in 1984 to form one large plain room.
