1926 Primary school, within the colliery village (1)

Quadrangle plan. Elevation facing Church Road has central door with huge multi-pane overlight up to the eaves. Huge multi-pane windows sit under the eaves and have stone cills. The two gabled bays have central rounded headed window with rubbed brick arch with stone dressing and keystone. Flanked by multi-pane windows under flat rubbed brick headers also with stone dressing and key stone. Gables have decorative eaves. The west elevation has a similar fenestration but with one central gabled bay. Brick-built former entrance recessed to the west end with highly decorative stone dressings. (2)
