Full Description

Built before 1884, it appears on the OS map of that date. A buttressed Gothic structure, decorated throughout with blue brick banding. The windows are wooden glazing bar casements; some have been restored. In the front gable is an impressive traceried vent opening. (NCC School Survey 2004)(1)

T-plan. Steeply pitched plain tile roof. Decorative brick bands run around the building incorporating the stone headers and cills. To the gable end there are vitrified bricks forming a linear design. Round trefoil tracery which forms a central motif. Large multi-pane, tripartite, mullioned window in stone, with segmental brick arch over. Brick buttresses support the NE wall. (2)
