Full Description

1910 Primary School. (1)

1916 OS Map (2) shows the boys and girl halves of the school and the yard divided with lavatories in each yard. Original plan was symetrical with the boys' half morroring the girls'. Subsequent alterations (removal of the porches and addition an overly dominant hipped-roofed range to the front) have not been sympatheic to the orignal plan form which is now difficult to appreciate. Cupola survives to the roof. (3)
