Full Description

Numbers 5-7 Blyth Grove are a pair of semi detached villas dating to 1905 and likely built to designs by T.H Penningtonā€¦ Architecturally the building is typical of the ate Victorian Early Edwardian era with a symmetrical frontage containing two storey canted bay windows with pitched roofs (finished with attic windows and ball finials) (1)

The Straw family moved into 7 Blyth Grove in 1923, following William Straw Sr's sudden death in 1932 little was changed inside the property up until the property was left to the National Trust by William Straw Jr in 1990. The property remains as a time capsule of the 1920's and early 1930s and is managed by the National Trust
