Full Description

Staythorpe A Power Station was a coal-fired station by T. Cecil Howitt. It was commissioned by the CEGB in July 1950 with a generating capacity of 112 MW. It closed on 31 October 1983.

1962 Staythorpe B power station was a coal-fired station commissioned by the CEGB in May 1962 with a generating capacity of 354 MW.

Both A and B are now demolished and have been replaced by Staythorpe C Gas Power Station.
