Full Description

There was an older pub on this site of the same name before it was rebuilt during the inter-war period. The design and scale of the building in similar to The Plough Inn at Ollerton and is likely to have been designed by the same architect, Aubrey Lane. (1)
An inn with stabling appers on Sanderson's map of 1835 in this location. (2)
The current building was erected after 1913 (3) and before 1939. (4)
