Full Description

The ditch was located centrally to Trench 65 on a northwest/southeast alignment measuring 1.22m wide by 0.31m deep, with moderate and steep sides and a concave base. The fill, comprising mid yellow brown clay silt, deriving from disuse silting, contained no finds. The alignment of the ditch is perpendicular to the furrows identified by the geophysical survey in this trench but corresponds with the alignment of anomalies indicating furrows to the north and northwest. The ditch likely represents a former field boundary associated with former field systems.
