The survey recorded a number of linear anomalies that exhibit some potential as buried ditches. Whilst a possible isolated example was detected in the south-western region, most lie in the mid-northern part of the site and include suggestions of sections of ditches flanking possible tracks. With that in mind, it should be noted that some of the c.N-S examples broadly share an alignment with probable land drains and cultivation, possibly including N-S aligned ridge and furrow. As such, it is possible that elements of the anomalies highlighted as ditches might alternatively be of agricultural origin.

It is likely that most isolated anomalies signify either modern or natural features/objects, such as near surface geological/pedological inconsistencies for magnetically weaker examples (topsoil-filled natural depressions, including tree throws) and miscellaneous iron objects (ploughshares, fragment of brick etc) for stronger responses. However, the archaeological potential of relatively weak examples is conceivably greater for those that were recorded in proximity to putative ditches.

Further land drains were recorded in the southern part of the site, particularly prevalent in the south-west corner. The survey also recorded moderate variation along and adjacent to an existing track.

Strong variation was recorded along sections of exiting boundaries, particularly along of the nursery and dwelling.
