Full Description

A small assemblage of finds were retrieved from the topsoil indicating military and agricultural usage.

A bullet part of an anti-tank shell and a 1942 cartridge was uncovered.

There was a single fragment from a vessel, most likely a mug of later 20th century date, in Modern Whiteware recovered.

A fragment of a deep amber glass bottle, perhaps a mineral water container, of early-mid 20th century date was retrieved.

Coal/cinder, orange-red vitrification along one edge. Number: 1. 80g

Two iron items were retrieved. One is a threaded bolt of late post-medieval date, the other is of uncertain identity but may be a machinery part and is likely to also be of the post-medieval period.

4 modern brick fragments, 1 modern floor tile fragment, 2 modern cermamic building material fragments and 1 undiagnostic ceramic building material fragment. Late 19th-early 20th century (although one brick fragment was dated mid-19th-early 20th century).
