Full Description

Built between approx. 1919 and 1959...shop fronts have characteristics that date them to be in a 1930s or 1940s style. (1)
Early C20 brick-built (Flemish bond) range of shops. Decorative brick eaves band (projecting chequerboard over a mini blind arcade. This style of decoration is unusual for Nottinghamshire). Window openings to the first floor have moulded stone heads and plain stone cills. Built on the line of the corner. The Carr Lane elevation has 3 window openings to the first floor (one reduced in size) and a door and window to the first floor. Would all originally have been timber sashes (which survived until at least 2009 (Street View), some now replaced with top opening casements others fake Upvc sashes. Original shop fronts survive.
