Full Description
Possible medieval activity was identified in the form of rough stone foundations as well as a posthole and possible beam slot.
In one area, the foundations were identified below made ground on top of which sat 18th century foundations.
A posthole was rectangular and located within the south of this stone foundation.
A possible beam slot was identified below the foundations orientated north west - south east.
Further possible medieval foundations were identified to the east and south east which were of similar unworked stone and seemed to be orientated north west – south east, running through the unexcavated section between two evaluation areas.
No artefacts were recovered to accurately date these features.
