Former Awsworth Board School, now businesses inlcuding photographers. 1878 date stone to roadside porch which formed the girls entrance. This lean-to porch with leaded roof has gabled central bay with decorative brickwork and stone coping and carved finial and further stone dressings. Carved stones reading AWSWORTH BOARD SCHOOLS 1878. Carved stone over the entrance reads GIRLS. Plank door flanked by small stone-dressed, sash windows. Porch is attached to gable end of main building which has a replacement window under a stone lintel, over which is a timber lourved opening all under a pointed brick arch.
