Full Description

3/2 storey Mansfield White stone building with Mansfield white detailing and Mansfield red string courses, a decorative door surround appears on the elevation facing Norfolk Road adjacent to this is a canted bay window with timber plain sashes, another similar canted bay window appears on the elevation facing Chesterfield Road South. Other windows stone surround and mullioned double windows, roof is plain tiled. To the left side appears a 1½ storey brick chapel building with Mansfield White stone detailing, stone mullioned triple gothic window to the front façade, and slate roof. This building was added to the main building in the early C20 when the building functioned as a ‘convent’, later modern stained French doors and windows were added to the front façade of this chapel under the church style window. Added to MDC Local List on 06/04/2009. (1)

Map regression shows that it was built at some point between 1875 (2) and 1897 (3).
