Full Description

Neo-classical corner building of Ancaster stone, landmark corner building and a good foil to the Baroque Revival Head Post Office next door.3-storey ashlar classical building; follows the curved aspect of the street scene to the junction of White Hart Street and Church Street, with Ionic pilasters to central stepped segment of upper floors with pediment and bracket support to window, Tuscan/Doric pilaster to outer ends, with dentine cornice and stepped parapet, marginal light windows with central infilled panel with decorative detailing. To Church Street is an arched carriageway entrance with keystone above are raised stone surround windows, quoins and stepped cornice, stone 3-storey property; to White Hart Street is ashlar stone 3-storey property, different stonework, single sash flush stone surround windows, and stepped cornice.
