Full Description
1906 and altered 1928 and late C20, 3-storey building, brick to rear with metal clad front façade, occupies a corner location at busy junction of Leeming Street and Inner Ring Road. Original Theatre layout on three floors with cellars/storage areas, ground floor converted to snooker hall with false floor, stage area (now missing). Rectangular in shape. Upper circle hidden by dropped ceiling .changing rooms to rear off long corridor. Cinema at first floor level with stage, screen area and stepped stalls but seating removed. Projector room to rear. Standard design with twin flighted staircase. Later adapted to 3 screens. Tall (Four storeys), red brick building prominent in street scene. Addition to rear and Re-fronted with Art Deco front c1928 now hidden by metal cladding. (1)
