Full Description
...canted to face the corner of the junction and appears more domestic in style with moulded stucco window surrounds. This is identified as having been owned by ‘Pocklington’ in 1829. This may refer to the family of Joseph Pocklington, who was a prolific builder as well as High Sherriff of Nottingham in 1774. Pocklington owned nearby Muskham House. (1)
Two-storey brick building under a slate roof. Upper storey has 2 stone bands. The windows have stone dressing with a projecting flat 'hoodmould' feature. The windows are timber casements with leaded glass. Two panel doors with leaded overlights face onto Bar Gate adjacent to a C19 shopfront with moulded glazing bars dviding the upper panes. Weavers Flooring has occupied the premises since at leaast 2009. (2)
