Full Description

Subterranean multi-room brick structure with raised reinforced concrete roof. The concrete roof is supported on metal brackets (now very corroded) giving a 360o view out of the building. (1)
'Battle Headquarters' or 'Battle HQs' were built on high ground giving a 360o clear view of the airfield and were usually below-ground or semi-sunken structures. (2)
