Full Description
A possible trackway, which is probably of Iron Age or Roman date, is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. The site comprises fragmentary ditch sections which appear to define the sides of a trackway that extends roughly south-west / north-east for circa 180m, between SK 5761 4782 and SK 5775 4793, with a possible branch to the south-east of its mid-point that is suggested by two parallel ditch sections. The possible trackway is roughly perpendicular to a pit alignment, with which it could be contemporary, that is situated to the south-west. (1)
