A group of airfield buildings comprising former mess and married quarters at the former Hucknall Airfield site. It is noted that the domestic site was initially laid out by 1918 to the north of the flying field (on the opposite side of Watnall Road). It is reported that the sergeants mess and a seperate officers mess were extant in the 1990's , in use as leisure centres, also that the ex-Royal Air Force married quarters have been converted to private residential accomodation. It is not clear from the account if all the extant buildings are from World War One or relate to later World War Two activity. (1)
