Full Description
An eighteen-hole championship heathland golf course founded in 1887 and designed by Willie Park. It was later revised by John Henry Taylor. (1)
Designed by Willie Park Junior and later revised by John Henry Taylor, Hollinwell is one of the best inland courses in Britain and has been listed amongst the top twenty-five courses in these islands and the top 100 in the world. It is heather in type and meanders through a natural valley. It was opened in 1900.
Tournament Golf comes here quite often. Behind the green on the 1st hole is a rock known as 'Robin Hood's Chair', and the 8th hole gives the course its name, which comes from the 'Holy Well'. Notts has a driving range and a practice ground. (3)
An 18-hole championship undulating heathland course, designed by Willie Park. It was founded in 1887. (4)
