Full Description

The land for the cricket ground was given to the Worksop Town Cricket Club in 1900 by William Allen, a director of a local brewery, who also financed the building of the original pavilion in 1901. The new pavilion was built in 1972 and includes squash facilities and changing rooms for cricketers. In 1986-87 the Cricket Club decided to have its own pavilion and it is an extension of the main pavilion. The ground is shared with the Worksop Town Football Club, and the playing area outfield to the east is on the football pitch. (2)
