Full Description
Field 2340. A dense linear concentration of sherds, extending away from the Fosse for up to c 80m, and into field to S. Extra-mural settlement ? Forms include Nene valley colour-coat plain rim and folded beakers (late C2 to C4), a plain grey ware pie dish (C2-3), grey ware and BB1 straight sided bead and flanged dishes (late C3 to C4), grey ware sherds with rusticated decoration (early C2) and a calcite gritted Dales ware type jar (C3). Suggest early or mid C2 to C4 AD date range. (1)
