2 BA stone axeheads found at Winthorpe, SK 821561 and SK 815565. (2)
The finds are noted as an early Neo axehead and a small early BA stone hammer head with central hole bored (no indication of which Acc No is which). Both were found on Aerodrome Farm by the farmer, Mr Hounsfield, who indicated the spot where the hammer head was found at above grid ref. He believes the axe came from the same area. Both were found by potato pickers. (3)
