Full Description

A hoard of gold coins, with a terminal date of 1645, was found in Balderton Gate 28/08/1961. 97 were declared Treasure Trove and purchased by NWM, 64 other coins passed onto the London market and 2 were purchased by the BM. (1)
Chance find in Balderton Gate. Hoard of coins of James I and Charles I (p 14 - assumed to be the same find, despite differing Acc No). (2)
